MOCKAPOLYPSE NOW

122  x 183 cm, astroturf and spray paint; 92 x 274 cm. extension cords, surveyor's line, surveyor's tape. 2022

Mockapolypse Now is a semi-assemblage of works that together point to the often disorienting duality of progress as a concept simultaneously constructive and destructive. Situated in the context of a construction site, these pieces can be seen as a kind of visual conceit forging unexpected relationships between disparate objects. It is also intended to serve as a subtle societal critique of excess, an exploration of the quotidian, and a pseudo-anthropological record of human habitation.
