Foreshadowing
Soft sculpture, digital print, colored pencil, needles, thread. 2025
5'.x 7'x 20"

Foreshadowing is an exploration of narrative formation within the context of strategically scripted storylines--soft sculpture pairs with hard truth, in this case a quote from Walter Benjamin's Theses on the Philosophy of History scrilbbled across the wall below: "There is not a document of civilization which is not at the same time a document of barbarism." Digitally printed text on the sculptural components is pulled from both stories printed in local historic accounts and current news accounts.
