Crime and Punishment
8' x 5.5', Canvas, chalk, five digital photo screens, 2025

Crime and Punishment ponders disattention in the context of childhood using five short films to consider the complicated relationship between movement, used as a way to help focus attention for some, with movement simultaneously perceived as a distraction and punishable offense by others. This duality is a reminder that binary thinking - this is good, this is bad - can lead to a lack of understanding and a misrepresentation of truth.
